SERA Architects plan to cover Portland's main federal building with an eco-facade.


The Belgian utility provider Infrax has built an innovative office space that is every bit as green as its brilliantly-hued facade. Designed by Crepain-Binst Architecture, Infrax West is focused on reducing its energy consumption with a powerful mix of technologies and design. Located in Torhout, Belgium, this building has successfully reduced its energy load by a substantial 40% of code and recently won the People’s Choice Award for the 2020 Challenge, based on the Kyoto protocol.

Когда-то, на детском центре Paradise Park Children‘s Centre в Лондоне красовался шикарный вертикальный сад, первый в своем роде на территории Великобритании. Весь проект, стоимостью в 1,5 миллиона фунтов был построен в 2006 году архитектурной компанией DSDHA. На 10-метровом фасаде произрастало 30 видов растений. Центр получил награды за инновационный экологический подход, а проектировщик стены ландшафтный архитектор Мари Кларк (Marie Clarke) – признание. Но, вертикальное озеленение прожило всего 3 года.

This solar and wind project is unique because it takes technology beyond just being “tacked on” to a building. These micro solar panels mimic nature’s ivy, really bringing life to the otherwise redundant ways we typically see energy being stored.




Wood shingles in different shades of green cover this townhouse in Berlin. The facade looks like a big pixel image and is a lovely eye-catcher in the monotone neighbourhood.
